Sickness Absence Management and Rehabilitation

The aim of this process is to advise employers on the management of short and long term absence, to advise on rehabilitation and resettlement of employees on their return to work and to advise on the suitability of ill health retirement.

Individuals who are still attending work but are of concern to their employer or manager with regard to their health can also be referred. An occupational health nurse or doctor will assess the fitness of the individual to do their work and advise the employer on necessary work adjustments or rehabilitation back to full health.

Sage OH can offer rapid referrals to other specialists either for treatment or guidance on their future fitness to work. The aim is always to return the employee to their duties, with the necessary workplace adaptations and full support of their employer and occupational health.
